First of all I got 6x NYX Ultra Pearl Mania (Loose Pearl Eyeshadow) in the following colours (Penny Pearl, Mocha Pearl, Mink Pearl, Jade Pearl, Very Pink Pearl, Purple Pearl)
These eyeshadows are ultra-shimmery and all the colours hold a good pigment, you also only need the tiniest bit to get a great result. They do crease and fade a little after a few hours on their own but I've been using my Limecrime Eyeshadow helper (review here) underneath which makes the colour become even more pigmented and last all day without a worry. I've always been a big fan of loose eye dusts and own almost the whole Napoleon Perdis loose eyedust collection and in comparison (pigment and lasting) I would say these are definitely on par. One of my favourite thing to do with loose eyedusts is mix a drop of powder with a drop of gel sealer (I use Kryolan) and make them into a liquid eyeliner. Awesome for giving a pop of colour without going overboard!
These 6 loose eyedusts cost me around $15 in total ($2.50 each!!!) and were purchased from ebay which to me is excellent value.
The other NYX products I bought were 3 Jumbo Eye Pencils in Lavender, Yoghurt & Milk. One of my favourite instagrammers maya_mia_y uses the 'milk' eye pencil quite a lot as a base to her eyeshadow looks so I just had to give it a go. These pencils have a very creamy texture and create a long lasting colour on your eyelid. They're awesome as a base for powder eyeshadows but work just as well on their own for a quick and easy eyeshadow that lasts all day. They're in a hard plastic case and the only thing I'm wondering is how the heck I'm going to sharpen them. These pencils were also bought from ebay and cost me about $14 (for all 3) including shipping
Overall I'm really impressed with these products. I love products like these that are super cheap but awesome to use.
Have you used these products before? Any ideas on how to sharpen the pencils
