On the very last day of this month I fiiiiinally received my Lust Have It beauty box.  Needless to say I was not very impressed with the lateness of this especially since so many people received them last week.  I do blame Australia Post for this though, not Lusthaveit.

From what I've seen there are a lot of different boxes this month with different brands and products and I haven't see one that is exactly the same as mine yet.

Also my box is missing the card that says what's inside so I won't be putting any prices/vales on anything because I don't know.  As per Lusthaveit's facebook page I emailed support for them to email me the card but I haven't heard back.

Anyways I'll get on with it:  Here's my box (apologies for the slightly blurry photos)

Lust Have It Beauty Box - April 2013
1.  GOSH - full sized eyeshadow in light brown - I hadn't heard of this brand before but the eyeshadow looks nice and is a neutral colour that I will probably wear.

2.  Rachel K CC Cream - 4 sachets - One says Natural and the other says original but I can't work out what the difference is between the two.  Maybe it's the colour.

3.  Pink Tiger - Nail File and Gauze strips - The gauze strips are an interesting product which apparently are for removing nail polish.  This isn't something I'd ever purchase but good to receive something different.

4.  Molton Brown Body Wash - trial size - I like receiving little body washes - they're awesome for travelling and trying new scents without having to purchase full sizes.

5.  Aveda Exfoliating Shampoo and Thickening Conditioner

6. Paulas Choice - Skin Balancing Super Anti-oxidant Matifying Concentrate Serum - This looks like a full size product and this is a brand I've wanted to try for a while.  Unfortunately I have dry skin and this is for oily skin which makes me super sad.  I'm actually considering using it anyways coz I like the sound of the anti-oxidants.  But I probably won't - I should send it to my sister or something but it makes me terribly sad face! ha!

The two full sized products - GOSH Eyeshadow and Paulas Choice Serum

Pink Tiger Nail File and Gauze Wipes

I'm pretty happy with the box.  Apart from the Paula's choice serum which is pretty disappointing I'll use everything else which means for me this box is good value.  In saying that since I didn't actually receive a card I have no idea what the actual value of this box is.

My only wish is that Lusthaveit would send their boxes out at the same time every month to provide some kind of consistency - we can only blame Australia Post for so much.

If you want to sign up for one of these boxes just head to their website here - cost is $19.95 per month

I've been trying to be diligent now in finishing up products before opening new ones.  At times this feels like some kind of torture but it's helping me save money and get value from from what I do have.  I've also being better at using the millions of samples I have from all the various beauty boxes and gifts with purchases but I"ll feature these in a different post so I don't yabber on for too long :)

Here's what I've used up over the last few weeks:

Batiste Dry Shampoo - a staple and holy grail item that I'm never without.
Dove Deodorant - I've since changed my deodorant and wish I hadn't - I've used this Dove one for a long time and like it for it's natural scent and because it actually doesn't give me white marks,,, unlike my new one grrrr.
Al'chemy Unscented Shampoo - I'm amazed at how good this feels.  Leaves my hair so clean and lightweight without feeling dry.
A'kin Lavender & Geranium Body Moisturiser.  A heavenly rich body lotion - love!
Sugarbaby Self Tanning Foam - This has been my holy grail self tanner for the last couple of years but it has since been replaced by another product.  Review on the new product coming shortly.  This bottle however isn't empty but has started leaking everywhere so to the bin it goes!
Pure Fiji Nourishing Exotic Oil - Coconut - I purchased this from the bellabox website and while it is lovely (I adore anything coconut) I think I'd rather use actual coconut oil from the health shop - works better in my opinion.
BE Rosehip Oil - Nothing like any rosehip oils I've tried before, this is Pricelines home brand range and the oil was very very light in colour and didn't give me the same results as my normal A'Kin rosehip oil.  It was like $5 or something and I ended up using it as moisturizer for my legs.
BE Eyecream - Same brand as before and again didn't do anything.  This isn't empty but I'm chucking coz I don't like it and I have 3 other eye creams to try.

Pretty happy with myself for using up 8 products in such a short amount of time :)

Feel free to ask any questions about any of the products

After reading so many rave reviews on the beauty blender sponge I decided to splash out and purchase it during the recent Lipstick Republic sale.  I was hesitant to buy it as it is effectively $20 for a piece of sponge.  How good could it really be?

source: lipstickrepublic.com.au
Source: lipstickrepublic.com.au

The latex free sponge applicator claims to "deliver a flawless finish to your foundation (Liquid, Powder, Mineral) and bronzer's within seconds".  To use the sponge you soak it in water first which causes it to expand to almost double its size.  The pointier side of the sponge is for use around the nose, eyes and hard to reach areas while the larger side is for the cheeks, chin and forehead.  This sponge is not used how you would typically use a sponge, instead you "bounce" the sponge onto the skin, similar to stippling.  This works the foundation into the skin providing you with the flawless finish.

There is only one way for me to describe the Beauty Blender and that is; Amazing.  After years of using foundation brushes and more recently the Sigma Kabuki F80 this piece of pink sponge throws them all out of the ball park.  I wish I knew about this back when I use to do wedding makeup as the finish it gives the skin really is something else.  I actually can't believe that this product actually does what it does.  One of the great things about the Beauty Blender is you can build the coverage with it.  I like a full coverage foundation and this sponge gives me that without the cakey look, it keeps it looking natural.  I've found that the sponge is giving me such good coverage I've only been using a tiny amount of powder just to set my foundation rather than adding powder for more coverage.

To clean you just rinse it in some warm water and you can use the specialized Beauty Blender cleanser or if you're like me and forget to buy that when you place your order you can use your shampoo (I've been using an Akin organic sulphate free one)

I purchased mine from www.lipstickrepublic.com.au and the RRP is $19.95 for one or $29.95 for a double pack.

Have you tried the Beauty Blender yet?

I've been searching for quite a while for something to store all my beauty products in.  I've seen the clear cube boxes but to be honest they're just not big enough for everything I have and they're pretty pricey too.  I love seeing how people set up their makeup areas and what they use to store it all in so I thought I'd share my new addition with you.
I ended up picking up this 10 drawer portable storage cart from Officeworks for $38.  It came as a flat pack but armed with the allen key and a whole lot of screws I managed to put it together all by myself.
My 10 drawer Beauty Storage Cart
And a sneak peak into three of the drawers...

Powders, bronzers & blushers

Lips, lips and lips

I have used the ten drawers from top to bottom as follows

1.   Unused unopened makeup
2.   Unused unopened skincare
3.   Unused unopened body products
4.   Unused unopened hair products
5.   Lips, Lips Lips
6.   Eyes!! Liners, creams, primers
7.   Eyeshadows
8.   Palettes
9.   Powders, Bronzers, Blushers
10. Foundations

There are two awesome things that having an organised makeup space has done for me.
1.  I can clearly see all my options when doing my makeup so am using lots of different things instead of the same everyday.
2. Keeping all my unopened things into the one place helps me to "shop my stash".  I have a lot of new makeup that hasn't been opened, some of which may feature in an upcoming giveaway so stay tuned.  No more buying double-ups for me!

I'd love to know how you store your makeup, feel free to link any posts below!

I've really been getting into wearing colour on my lips a lot more these days and I'm slowly progressing into lipsticks as opossed to colour glosses.  I've been loving the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balms so when I saw Revlon bought out some new Colorstay lipcolours I was intrigued.

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede
I picked these up at Priceline when they were 2 for $25 and got the shades 070 Preview and 001 Silhouette.  As you can see in the swatches below preview is the deeper colour of the two and is a neutral mauvey pink and silhouette is a lighter more purple colour.  I love that the cases are the same colour as the actual lip colour, it just makes it so much easier when I'm rummaging around in my bag.

My favourite colour out of the two is Silhouette, it just suits my skin tone perfectly.   Upon applying the lipcolour I found the consistency to be quite creamy and pigmented; I only need to apply a light coat once.  Unfortunately it's about 5 minutes after applying that things start to go downhill.  The Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipsticks are drying!! They also accentuate every line or crease in your lip however I did find this wasn't so noticeable when I used a lip scrub first.  The colour lasted on my lips for around 3 hours which is less than the wear time I get from the Kissable balms.  The other thing that annoyed me about these is you can really feel them on your lips, if you rub your lips together you can just feel the lipstick moving around and the dry bits on your lips are even more accentuated. Overall I was really unimpressed with this product and I wouldn't recomend them to you.
If you were really sold on one of the colours (like I am with Silhouette) you can persevere with it and use a lipscrub first, then apply lipcolour and possibly try a balm or gloss overtop, I however am on the lookout for a similar colour in a better formula.
Have you tried these?  What did you think?

After the sucess of Her Fashion Box's first fashion and beauty subscription box, I was eagerly waiting the arrival of the second box to see if it would live up to the same standard

I'm happy to say that the second HFB box is just as good if not better than the first.  If you want to read about the first box click here.

April's box contains 6 items none of which are samples which makes me very happy as my sample box is overflowing!

Her Fashion Box: April 2013

HFB Fashion Item: Cuff
HFB Cuff RRP$39.95: An imitation lace black cuff which looks quite nice on.  I'm not a huge accessories girl so not sure wether I will wear or not.  I do like the idea of it though. I'm a little bit of a cynic when it comes to the RRP as it's not a branded item, purely something they've bought in bulk and then added their tag too.  With accesory stores like Diva & Equip in abundance with things like this I can't imagine they're selling them there for $40.  Just my opinion.

Bondi Sands Fake Tan $RRP19.95 + Applicator Mitt RRP$9.95
Happy to get this product with winter well on its way.  Has a coconut scent so I'm sold already - can't wait to try it out and see what the colour is like.  The applicator mitt is awesome,  I wouldn't apply fake tan without one of these and mine is well overdue for a replacement.

Schick Hydro Silk Shaver RRP$10.00
I have been a Venus girl forever.  I can get quite sensitive skin on my legs and the Venus is the only shaver that doesn't give me those unsightly red bumps.  I'll give this a go and see what happens.

Modelco Lip duo RRP$24.00 & Eyeliner $26.00
The lip duo is a nice natural nude colour and contains a lipstick on one end and lipgloss on the other as well as a handy little mirror in the middle.  The eyeliner is black and has a sharpener on the lid which I love.  I haven't used model co products before apart from a free lipgloss I got once so I'm interested to see if the quality is as high as the price tag.

Her Fashion Magazine
Her Fashion Magazine

As per last month the box contains a glossy A5 magazine which provides details on every item in the box including how to wear them and where you can find them to buy.  I think this is a fabulous idea but also think that a large portion of the price of the box is probably tied up here.  Those magazines cant be cheap to make.

I'm impressed with this month's box, its professional, great value and I'll be using every single thing except possibly the cuff which I'm undecided about.  What I love about this box is they actually have listened to my preferences that I stated when I signed up.  The cuff came in Black and Gold but I specified no gold when I signed up and voila I got black.  You wouldn't think that was rocket science but it's been really hit and miss with some of the other boxes.

Let me know what you think and let me know what you got if you've subscribed.

Her Fashion Box is a monthly subscription box for $39.95 a month and you can find out more and sign up here www.herfashionbox.com.au

I was very excited to sign up to an international beauty box this month.  I heard about it from Jac over at the matillyrose blog when she blogged about her March box and needless to say I signed up as soon as I could.  You can check out her March box here.

This Lip Factory beauty box comes from the US and costs $22 USD plus $10USD for shipping.  All up this box cost me $31.80AUD with the exchange rate etc.

Lip Factory Beauty Box April 2013

I received 6 fullsize makeup products and 1 skincare sample?!  On that note I know you're all dying to see what I got so let's get on with it.

1.  Sweet Pea & Fay Cosmetics J'Adore Les Levres in "Mermaid Kiss" - This is a bright pink liquid lipstick that appears similar to OCC Lip Tar or Sleek Pout Paint.

2.  Two Cosmetics Eyeshadow Duo in "Foreplay". A duo of two different toned purple shadows (one shimmer one matte) that I will get a lot of use out of.  The colours are beautiful and appear to be quite pigmented.  The slogan on the side says "makeup with a cause - you buy one we give one to charity" which I think is pretty cool.

3.  LASplash Cosmetics Nail Polish in "Atlantis" - I'm not much of a nail polish fan but the colour of this is incredible and I can't wait to wear it on my toes.  It's an iridescent purple colour with the tiniest particles of glitter in it.  Love it!

4.  29 Cosmetics Mascara - D'vine Grape Seed Age Protecting Conditioning Mascara in "Devine Brown" - Appears to have a nice thick wand which I prefer over thinner ones.  Also it's Made in Italy.. woooo fancy (ha)

5.  OFRA Cosmetics Lipgloss in "Bordeaux" - A rich plum coloured gloss which smells so delicious and sweet like lollies... mmmm.

6.  LISI Line & Define Eyeliner Pencil in Storm Cloud (Black) - A mechanical black eyeliner which on swatching seems soft and very pigmented.

7.  MD Formulations - small 3ml sachet sample of a facial cleanser.

My sister and I signed up at the same time and my sister got a personalised email back asking if we were sisters which I thought was a nice touch.  Overall I found their customer service so far to be great.  You can get more info or sign up here www.lipfactoryinc.com

I honestly can't stress enough how amazed I am at the value of this box - a fullsize mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow duo, nailpolish and 2 lip products is amazing and I will get use out of every single one of them.  Every single one of these brands (except MD Formulations) I had never heard of before so I'm thrilled to be trying new brands that we just don't have here in Australia.  Since makeup is really what I love, this box has a higher value to me than the Australian boxes which usually have a few skincare samples in.  Whilst I don't mind trying skincare every now and again, it can be hit or miss with your specific skin type and you only need to see my drawer full of skincare samples to see how many have been useful to me.

If you'd like to see close-ups or a more in-depth review of any of these products please let me know.  I'm also interested to know if you've heard of any of these brands before and what you think of them?

Her Fashion Box are the newest beauty and fashion subscription box on the scene in Australia and their first box was sent out in March.  You can read about it and see what I got here.

One of the products I received in my box was the Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Gloss in Glisten Up Pink and HFB asked me to submit a review on it so I thought I would share it with you all also:

I was excited to receive the Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Gloss in Glisten Up Pink in my very first Her Fashion Box.  Maybelline is renowned for making quality cosmetics at a great price and quite a few of their products are staples for me.

The lipgloss is rich and creamy, sliding onto your lips and in no way leaving a sticky residue like other glosses can.  It also has a slightly fruity scent upon application but this is not overpowering in any way and fades quite quickly.  The colour is a creamy neutral pink with a medium to high shine finish and feels lovely and soft on the lips.  The colour lasts quite well for a gloss but it's not a lipstick or stain so will need to be reapplied every couple of hours.  It’s housed in a hard plastic clear shell so you can see the colour straight away.  This is also handy for knowing when you’re about to run out and need to dash out and replace.  It has a screw on silver lid and a doe foot applicator making the application of gloss almost fool-proof, no more squeezing out way more than you need and making a mess!

Overall I was really impressed with this lipgloss, it really has everything I look for in a lipgloss.  There are 10 shades available in this range and I've got my eye on "Captivating Coral" next.

There are priced at $15.95 and are available nearly everywhere

I received my Bellabox yesterday morning which was a surprise as I don't usually get parcels on a Saturday, but hey no complaining here.  Just like last month I seem to be getting these earlier in the month now which is good.

Onto the goods, here's what I got this month:

Bellabox April 2013

The theme this month is Innovative Beauty and the box contained 6 items and all of them were sample size (no full size products this month)

1.  Cedel Dry Conditioner 30g.  Apparently this can be used in conjunction with Dry Shampoo and works on a similar basis except it hydrates the hair as opposed to actually cleaning hair.  I can't say I get it but I'm a huge fan of dry shampoo so I'll give it a go.
2. Indio Facial Scrub.  Retails for $56 for 50ml so I'd be expecting pretty good results for a price like that.  The sample size is 10ml so should be able to get a few uses out of it to really see what it's like.
3.  Avene Micellar Lotion 3 in 1 - a 25ml sample of what looks like water but apparently takes off makeup, cleanses and tones all at the same time.  Anything that saves me time is a win in my book so if it does what it says it does I'll be very happy.

4.  Lash Cards.  There appears to be two sets in the pack and you apply the curved edge behind and at the base of your lashes then swipe on mascara,  Claims to improve lash length, prevent clumping and smudging.  I'm sorry but I'm massively skeptical when it comes to this for two reasons.  1.  I could use cardboard and make my own for a few cents 2.  I've been applying mascara for over 15 years now and I'm not afraid to say I think I've mastered it by now.  Also clumping and smudging is usually due to the mascara itself.  Anyways I'm willing to give it a go and be proven wrong but seriously....
5.Cellilux Glacial Mineral Gel - a 7g sample sachet of a face mask which contains negatively charged molecules to draw out postively charged bacteria and impurities from deep within the skin.  Interesting!

6.  Proplenish Marine Collagen Sachets.  You dissolve one sachet a day in water and drink to achieve beautiful skin, hair and nails.  I"m a firm believer that what you put in your mouth shows in various ways in our skin, hair, nails and overall general wellbeing so something like this is very interesting to me.  You can also take 2 sachets a day to help combat wrinkles.  I don't think taking this for 3 days would show a noticeable difference but will give it a try and possibly buy a full 30 pack if the taste and texture is drinkable.

It was a good box this month and I am impressed by the products.  Although nothing was a standout wow to me they are all products that I wouldn't have ever bought or tried without trying them first which I believe is the main purpose of the beauty boxes.

For those of you who don't know the Bellabox is an Australian beauty box subscription service for $15 a month and you can sign up or get more details here www.bellabox.com.au.

What do you think of this months Bellabox - did you get the same or something different?

To celebrate reaching 2000 likes on facebook Lipstick Republic is having a sale for one week only.  I'm never one to turn down a sale especially when it's from a company who has the best customer service I've experienced in a very long time and stocks brands that can be hard to find in Australia.

Anyways I know you just want me to get on with it so you can see what I got!!

I've been wanting to try the beauty blender for a really long time after hearing so many people rave about it.  I dont understand how a sponge can be so "life-changing" but I'm willing to try anything once.  Very excited to try this one out.

I got the Limecrime Uniliner in "Orchidaeous" and boy is it a vibrant pigmented purple, gonna create some awesome looks with this.  I also picked up a Sleek Pout Paint in "Milkshake" which is a gorgeous colour and OCC loose pigment in "Platonic".  Lipstick Republic are so awesome they threw in a couple of freebies for me - a NYX eyebrow pencil in "light brown" and an eyeliner in "acid green" both of which I will use so was very happy to see these.  If you want to see all the prices just check out the website, but all this including shipping was under $50.

Limecrime Uniliner in Orchidaceous

Sleek Pout Paint in Milkshake & OCC Loose Pigment in Platonic

The famous beautyblender

Swatch of Sleek Pout Paint in Milkshake

My freebies - NYX eyebrow pencil and eyeliner

I've mentioned before that I don't use nail polish too often but I picked this up for $2 in a priceline sale recently and really love the colour.  It's a very light neutral pink opaque colour that covers perfectly in two coats and has a nice shimmer to it.  For most people it's probably a very boring colour but when it comes to nails I like to stay safe.

Orly Nail Polish - Pink Brilliance

What do you think?  Am I playing it too safe?

I bought some elf products recently from their australian website www.elfcosmetics.com.au and thought I'd share it with ya!  I ordered on the 22nd, received a shipping notification on the 25th and received it on the 27th which is around a 3 business day turn-around.  Good stuff!

Let me know if you'd like to see a review of anything in particular.

I mentioned in my last Empties post how terrible I am at using products up so I've made an extra effort this month to use things up before opening up something new.

Here are the products I managed to finish and what I thought about them...

1.  Loreal Elvive Total Repair Instant Miracle - Miracle my ass... this product did nothing for my hair, it's not even as good as a normal Loreal conditioner which I've tended to like in the past.  To be honest there's still some left in the bottle but I'm done with it.

2.  Lux Exfoliating Body Wash - Shea Butter & Caramel.  This smells divine, is nice and creamy and has some exfoliating beads in it.  Loved it and will buy again.

3.  Imperial Leather Foaming Shower Gel - Coconut & Tiare Flower.  I actually finished this last month but forgot to add it in my last post.  I love that it comes foaming out of a can, it helps me not squeeze too much out.  It smells good but I didn't find it exceptionally moisturising, however I would still re-purchase.

4. DeLorenzo NovaFusion Shampoo in Fire Red.  This was my last bottle of this amazing shampoo.  It has kept my hair vibrantly red between colours and I absolutely recommend it if you have coloured your hair red.  I have decided to go back to my natural brunette for winter so watch this space.  If anyone has any tips for going from red back to brown I'd love to hear them :)

5.  Clarins Toning Lotion Alcohol Free with Camomile - I don't usually buy toner (mainly because I'm too lazy to use it) but this was on sale late last year and Clarins is a favourite of mine.  I do love this alcohol free toner, it refreshes my skin without drying it out.

6.  Dove Dry Repair Shampoo - Good shampoo - nothing too amazing to report

7.  Batiste Dry Shampoo - I have extremely dry ends but oily roots and this is my saviour.  I am never without this product and have many back-ups in the cupboard!

8.  Clarins Multi-active Day Cream - Another Clarins product that was bought in the same sale as the toner.  I love this day cream, it's designed to help balance your skin when going in and out of aircon and different temperatures.  It's lovely and hydrating while still being a very lightweight cream.

8.  Face of Australia Purifying Cleansing Wipes - I hardly ever use face wipes for their designated purpose as I find them too drying but I always keep them on hand for cleaning up spills and wiping makeup off the back of my hand when testing things out

Moisture Mist Dual Control Liquid Foundation in Ivory

9 & 10.  Moisture Mist Dual Control Liquid Foundation in Ivory - Okay I don't know why or how I managed to have two empties but I found them both nearly empty and finished them up.  As far as I know this foundation is only available in New Zealand (Moisture Mist is part of Shiseido) but it gives amazing full coverage and has a beautiful creamy consistency.

I'm still on a mission to keep using products up and I'm trying not to buy new things until I've made a big dent in the box of brand new unopened products I seemed to have collected over the last few months.  Feel free to leave any comments or ask any questions - I love hearing from you.

Vintage Minnie Minis... Source: adorebeauty.com.au

My lovely friend Sammy gave me the OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Mini's Collection for Christmas and I thought I'd share with you all my favourite colour.  I'm not much of a nail polish junkie, I've been a terrible nail biter up until a few years ago and my nails break and split so quickly that I've generally always had acrylics or shellac done.

This colour is called "I'm all Ears" and is described as a "a shimmery, glittery sheer red" but as you can see below it's much more pink than red.

I love the mini bottles as a big bottle of nail polish is not something I'm ever likely to use up.  I used a base coat, two coats of I'm all Ears and the rapidry top coat.  I got about 3 days wear out of this before it got chipped but that's about usual for me.

OPI "I'm All Ears" 3.5ml

OPI "I'm All Ears" on my nails

Unfortunately for me I accidentally left this bottle on the edge of my bathroom counter and it was knocked off and smashed into tiny smithereens all over the bathroom tiles :(  Eeeek! Managed to clean it all off - thank God but I wasn't very happy about it!!

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

It's that time again!! It's April already and boy is it starting to cool down.  For those of you who don't know, I've spent the last 3 and a half years in the warm tropics of Australia.  I've recently moved down south and I'm already finding it hard to adjust to the cooler days.  Who knows how I'll survive winter but I've managed to get some wooly stockings, boots and slippers and I'll be sure to pick up an electric blanket on my next trip to the shops.

Anywho here's what I loved in March:

March 2013 Top Ten Beauty Products

1. Sanctuary Spa   2. David Jones   3. Nuxe   4. Maybelline

1.  Sanctuary Spa Warming Micro-Brasion Polish - Bought this from priceline and love it.  Read my full review here.
2.  David Jones Cream Foundation SPF 15 in Fair.  I got this in my David Jones Sampler tote (read about that here) and I'm really liking it.  It gives a full coverage and applies easily to the skin.
3.  Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil - I got this 10ml sample in my February Bellabox and I love it.  Apparently its a cult product and they sell a bottle every few seconds or something! For me, it leaves my skin feeling so nourished without leaving any oily residue.  I've also been using a little on the ends of my hair.  Love it and will definitely be purchasing a full bottle of this when I've finished up everything else.
4.  Maybelle Baby Lips Colour in Berry Crush - A really nice lip balm that gives a good stain of colour on the lips.  Use this practically everyday.

5. MUA   6. The Balm   7.Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
5.  Makeup Academy Mosaic Blush.  Use this everyday - a gentle pink blush with just the right amount of shimmer to it.
6.  The Balm Shady Lady in  "Just this once Jamie" - (see a swatch here) Love this eyeshadow, it's such a dream to apply and blend and is very pigmented.  Have been using this as my crease colour a lot this month.
7.  OCC Loose Colour Concentrate in Twirl - nothing more to say than what's already been said here

8. Maybelline  9.Sleek  10. Sigma
8.  Maybelline Colour Tattoo in "Tough as Taupe" - I've been using this as a base all over my eyelid and for my fair skin it's the perfect base for a day-time smoky eye.  It's dark but not too dark if you know what I mean.  I use it over my Limecrime Eyeshadow Helper and have never had a crease even on really long days and after exercise.  Love love love this.
9.  Sleek i-divine Eyeshadow Palette in "Ultra Matts V2" I got this from Lipstick Republic and it's absolutely fueled my addiction for matte shadows.  I'm loving the different effect matte eyeshadows has on my eyes - especially after so many years of shimmery eyeshadows!  I'm converted!  Full review here
10.  Sigma Tapered Blending Brush - E40.  This brush scared me when I got it as I thought it was going to put eyeshadow e-v-e-r-y-where.  I use this brush to put a darker colour in my crease and it just blends the shadow in perfectly.  Cannot and will not live with out this brush!
