Review: Nivea In-Shower Rich Body Lotion for Very Dry Skin

I picked up this innovative product recently in a Priceline sale.  My interest was piqued by the in-shower bit.  If there's one thing that I constantly forget to do it's moisturize my body.  When I get out of the shower I want to get dry and dressed pronto - especially in Winter - not waiting around in the cold for my moisturiser to sink in.  This is why when I saw a product that would moisturise you in the shower I didn't need much more encouragement to buy.

The Nivea In-Shower Rich Body Lotion uses Almond Oil to provide long lasting hydration and the basic concept is you wash your body as per normal and then apply this lotion while still in the shower.  Rinse it off, get out of the shower and pat dry with a towel and bam you're moisturised.  No more standing in the cold waiting for moisturiser to sink in.

When I first starting using this I thought that it wasn't moisturizing enough for me but the more I use it the better my skin gets.  Now that my skin is getting hydration on a daily basis it's really started to improve.  Directly after using this my skin feels silky and soft.  After patting drying with a towel you will notice a slight residue on the skin but it doesn't feel at all sticky and even my lovely man commented on how nice and soft my skin has been lately.

I have to say that even though this is a huge 400ml bottle of product I am using it up fairly quickly, however at $7.99 you won't catch me complaining.

Available at Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and most supermarkets.

  2. When your man notices, you know it's made a difference :D. I didn't realize there was one in a blue bottle for very dry skin (mine is in a white bottle, must be for normal skin or something). I'm going to try that one next time. I'm getting through mine quickly too, but like you said, it's pretty inexpensive. I found mine at Woolworths, so it's easy to pick up any time I'm there.

  3. Bought this yesterday after reading all the wonderful reviews..and I am really pleased. Its so good to make a purchase and not feel like its a waste of money.
