Bellabox January 2014

Bellabox, Beauty box
Bellabox January 2014

My Bellabox arrived in good time this month on the 16th January.  I'm always happy when these subscription boxes come on time as another 'un-named' box is continually later in the month and forever apologising about it.

This month's box arrived in some new packaging as seen above and had 7 products inside, 2 of which were full size.

modelco, mascara, hairspray, wotnot, facewipes, palmolive, gatineau, avene
Bellabox January 2014

Model Co Fat Lash Volumising Mascara
As with a lot of other people I am completely over receiving products from this brand.  It has been completely overdone and I'm starting to wonder if they have to give them away because no one is buying them.  I'll try out this mascara but I don't hold out much hope as every other product I've tried from this brand has been terrible.

Palmolive Ayurituel Shower Gel
I love shower gels so I'm always happy to receive a nice travel size like this.  It smells really interesting too so I look forward to trying it out next time I travel.

Natural Green Brand Tepezcohuite Cream
Wow what a name.  This appears to be some kind of moisturing cream. It has a really intense scent to it and I think I'll do some more research about this product as I'm really intrigued by it.

Avene Hydrance Optimale Rich Hydrating Cream
Avene is another brand like Modelco that consistently appears in these boxes.  A moisturiser for dry skin IS actually something I use often so I'll try it out and see how it goes but I do wish Bellabox would listen to feedback and stop featuring this brand as well as Modelco in their boxes.

Gatineau Aquamemory Moisture Replenish Mask
This is a generous 15ml trial size mask which I'm really excited to try out.  This is a luxe brand and anything that promises hydration is a hit with me.  Also smells devine!

NAK Fixation Finishing Spray
I hardly ever use hairspray but it's always hand to keep a bottle on hand for the odd time I need it.  This is a good size can as it's small enough to hold easily in one hand.

Wotnot Facial Wipes
I use these facial wipes all the time so I'm pretty happy to see a sample sized 5 pack.  Very handy to keep in the handbag or take travelling.

Overall I'm really happy with most things I received in this month's box.  There's a good variety of products and sizing and my only disappointment was seeing Modelco featured again.  I'm really looking forward to trying out the skincare products and the travel-sized products will come in handy next time I'm going away.

What did you think of this month's box - do you share my opinion about Model Co or do you like them?

  1. Not sure what I think of this box, like you I'd get use of the dry skin lotion, the wipes, shower gel and I'd use the hair product, but the Model Co.. urgh. It does make you wonder if they have mountains of the stuff that they can't sell doesn't it! :) Mostly usable, but not very exciting...

  2. I'm happy with this month's box, I received a few different things to you and I wasn't really excited about the Model Co mascara either. I got two Avène products this month and one last month!
