Mecca Cosmetica Lip Balm, In Essence Sleep Easy Essential Oil Blend, Insight Timer App, Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath & Shower Oil

Sleep has been something that's always come easily to me for most of my life.  It wasn't until I had a baby and had to deal with interrupted nights and very little sleep that it started to become an issue.  In fact, I had no idea it was even an issue until my baby started sleeping through the night (at about 8 months old).  I was so excited to start getting full nights sleep again but instead, I would lay awake at night staring at the ceiling begging myself to fall asleep.  It took me awhile but I developed some healthy sleep habits, so if you struggle with getting a good night's sleep hopefully some of these tips & tricks will help you as much as they helped me.

Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow, Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath & Shower Oil, Lanate Body Cream, Daiso Sponge Detergent, NYX Butter Gloss

June came and went so fast that I had to really sit down and think about the beauty products that I've been loving this month.  I was lucky to have a couple of products sent to me recently that I've fallen in love with so that's always a bonus and I fell back in love with some old faithfuls.  I'm so excited for July as it's my birthday month, I'm going to my first IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) and my cousin from NZ is coming to visit me too.  Before I get ahead of myself let's revisit June and see what my favourite beauty products were.

Winter is the worst season of the year for me.  While I do like cosy jumpers and being able to wear jeans every day I absolutely loathe being cold and I'm one of those people who seem to feel the cold worse than others.  Or maybe I just whinge louder, it's hard to say haha!  I survive this season of terrible doom mainly by staying indoors and drinking hot chocolate but also by finding any opportunity to treat myself.  And this year I'm treating myself to long warm showers with Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oils.

The Parcel by Marie Claire - Winter Edition 2017

A month or so ago I received an email from The Parcel saying that the Winter Edition would be the last edition of The Parcel that we would be receiving.  It didn't give any reason as to why they would no longer be offering their service just that they were proud of the twenty sampling boxes they had sent out over the last three years.  The Parcel has consistently been a great beauty subscription box so I'm a little sad to see them go.  I did think that this last box might be kinda shit since it was their last one but I'm pleasantly surprised at the number of products they've included.  They definitely didn't skimp out for their last edition.

My Beauty Trash Empties January to April 2017

I love writing Empties posts.  It gives me chance to reflect on the products I've used and give a quick review on them without having to go into heaps of detail. This post is an accumulation of Empties from the start of this year to around April.  I've actually used more products than this but sometimes I just chuck them out, especially if they're ones I've talked about lots or use all the time like the Nivea In Shower Lotion.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Anti-Fatigue Foundation, Concealer & Insta Fix & Go Setting Spray

The Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation & concealer have been around for a number of years but were recently reformulated.  This foundation gets pretty good reviews in the beauty community for a good coverage drugstore base product so I was interested to see what the new formula was like.  It's been a long time since I tried the original Wake Me Up foundation so this won't be a comparison post.  Rimmel have also released a 2 in 1 Primer & Setting Spray called #Insta Fix & Go so I'll let you know my thoughts on that too.

Rimmel Volume Shake Mascara, Rimmel Brow This Way, Morphe R40, Matt Miller Mega Lash, Frank Lip Scrub

The last month of Autumn seemed to go by in a flash and now Winter is well and truly upon us.  My favourite beauty products for May consisted of some new release products as well as some new-to-me products.

First up is the Matt Miller MegaLash Eyelash & Eyebrow Enhancing Serum and it's my second month trialling this product.  I have been religious in applying this every morning and night and have seen some significant improvement in my eyelashes.  Unfortunately there has been absolutely no change to my eyebrows.  Seems weird that it would work on one spot and not the other.  Anyways I'm stoked that it's worked on my eyelashes, they're definitely longer and a lot fuller than they were 2 months ago and I have another month to go until the recommended three months is up.

I was sent a couple of new releases from Rimmel and I'm really loving both of these.  The Volume Shake mascara applys so beautifully and really gives my lashes a volume boost.  It doesn't smudge on me making this the first non-tubular mascara to not smudge on me.  The Brow This Way 3 in 1 Ultra Soft Powder is a powder designed to help fill in your eyebrows.  I still use my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow to line and feather in my eyebrows and then I apply this powder on top which gives it a more filled in and polished look.

The Morphe R40 brush is part of the Rose Gold collection and came via my MorpheMe subscription which you can read all about here.  It's such a beautifully soft brush that blends my eyeshadows seamlessly and I can't do without it.

Last but not least with the cooler weather upon us I've been using this Frank Lip Scrub a lot to try and fix my dry chapped lips.  It doesn't matter how much water I drink or how much lip balm I wear I seem to always have dry lips.  I try to keep it under control by using this scrub every night and mixing up the balms I wear.

Do you have any tips or product recommendations for dry lips?

*The two Rimmel products as well as the Mega Lash product were all gifted to me for my consideration.  I am under no obligation to talk about them and my opinions are my honest view and not influenced in any way.  Honesty always.

My third LiveGlam MorpheMe Brush Club parcel arrived this week.  This is a monthly subscription club where you get sent Morphe branded makeup brushes for around $32AUD (depending on the exchange rate).  This month I received four brushes, two of which I loved straight away and two I'm a bit 'meh' about.
