My Beauty Trash (Empties) January to April 2017

My Beauty Trash Empties January to April 2017

I love writing Empties posts.  It gives me chance to reflect on the products I've used and give a quick review on them without having to go into heaps of detail. This post is an accumulation of Empties from the start of this year to around April.  I've actually used more products than this but sometimes I just chuck them out, especially if they're ones I've talked about lots or use all the time like the Nivea In Shower Lotion.

Clinique Smart Repair Serum, Give Me Texture, Palmers Cleansing Oil, Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner

Clinique Smart Custom Serum
Loved this, it made my skin smooth and even and I saw results really quickly.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Tropical
I use the Batiste Dry Shampoo a lot!!  It's definitely my favourite brand of dry shampoo and I pretty much like all the flavours.  I'm a sucker for anything coconut though so really enjoyed this one.

V05 Give Me Texture
I absolutely love this.  It applies and works very similar to a dry shampoo and while it does soak up oil it's main job is to volumise!  It definitely does this and doesn't leave your hair feeling like a forest!
Palmers Cocoa Butter Facial Cleansing Oil
Another Love!!  This removed my makeup and cleansed my face so beautifully.  You can get away by rinsing this one off with just water (no need for a face cloth) and the bonus is it smells incredible!
Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Pads
This is a little sample pack but I didn't really find that they did too much.  I think I'll just stick to using my Alpha H for my acid exfoliation.
Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner
Snow Fairy is my all-time favourite scent but it only comes out twice a year.  At Christmas last year they brought the scent out in a body conditioner and I was so excited I bought like three at once.  Unfortunately it was crap.  Still smells amazing just leaves a really funny feeling to the skin.  I didn't like it at all.  I still used it up but I was pretty disappointed.

WotNot Facial Wipes, Poni Cosmetics The White Knight Mascara, Mirenesee Pebble Sonic Day Cleanser, Hylamide, David Jones, Goodness Chia Seed Oil

Wotnot Facial Wipes for Normal/Sensitive Skin*
I don't use wipes very often but when I do I usually use WotNot Wipes.  Out of all the wipes I've tried these are definitely the softest.  They also feel more wet than most which means they do a better job at actually removing makeup.
Poni Cosmetics The White Knight Mascara
This is my holy grail mascara.  It's a tubular mascara that gives volume and length and best of all does not smudge.  This is my third or fourth tube.

Hylamide Hydration Booster
This did nothing for me. Wouldn't repurchase

Dr Lewinns Eternal Youth Day & Night Cream
This was just a basic cream, didn't really do much.  Wouldn't repurchase.

David Jones Facial Cleanser Deeply Purify
Basic cleanser, nothing amazing.  Wouldn't repurchase
Goodness Chia Seed Oil
I used this for awhile instead of Rosehip Oil and it feels pretty much exactly the same.  It did smell a little peculiar which put me off a little bit but I still finished the bottle.
Mirenesse Purifying Facial Cleanser - Day*
I used this with the Mirenesse Pebblesonic Facial Beauty Device and really enjoyed it.  Was a nice morning cleanser that didn't strip my skin.  It came in the pack but I don't think it was wow enough to repurchase.

Well that's enough blabbering on for one post.  Have you tried any of the products mentioned in today's post?  I love to hear from you so feel free to leave a comment below or come chat with me on Instagram.

  1. Love reading empties posts! I too use Batiste dry shampoo. I tried the smart Serum a couple of years ago. I think the price put me off as I found it didn't last as long as some serums do that were cheaper. I'd try it again though! Xx

  2. Great reviews of many products. The reviews are all precise and to the point. I am thinking to use the Mascara and the dry shampoo, if only they are available in my city!
