Mother's Day Gift Ideas 2018

Mother's Day Gift Ideas 2018

I think this is the first year ever that I've been super organised for Mother's Day.  Not only have I already purchased my own Mother's Day present (lol) I have organised my Mum's and Mother in Law's presents too.  Lucky for me my Mum is flying up to me for Mother's Day so I only have to post one!

Of course it goes without saying that Mother's Day isn't about the gifts, it's about appreciation, but sometimes a gift is the perfect way to show that appreciation.  And if your stuck for ideas that's where I'm here to help.  In today's post I thought I'd give you some gift ideas for Mother's Day, whether it's for yourself, your Mum, MIL, Grandma, whoever!!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas 2018 Uspa Gift Pack

These are stunning products that I know whoever receives this will absolutely fall in love with.  The gift pack contains a Soothing Hydro-Mist to give you a burst of hydration and a Soothing Hand Cream that is light-weight and absorbs quickly to soothe and hydrate hands.  RRP$65 (valued at $85)  These are available at selected day spas and beauty salons across Australia or at and are perfect for spoiling Mum (or yourself).

Mother's Day Gift Ideas 2018 Vera Wang Eau de Parfum

Vera Wang Eau de Parfum*

I honestly think perfume is such a personal gift to give someone so it might pay to know what kind of scents they already like and see if you can find something in the same scent family.  Many years ago I did some work behind a fragrance counter at a department store and I absolutely loved it.  One of my favourite things was to match people up with scents that they would fall in love with.  It was heaps of fun!  This Vera Wang Eau de Parfum spray is not only packaged beautifully but has a beautiful floral scent with notes of Rose and Gardenia.  If anyone in your life is a lover of floral fragrances I definitely recommend checking this one out.  100ml RRP $49 (Price checked at Priceline 19.04.18)

Lost Heart Found by Megan Smith

There's nothing like curling up with a good book to relax and my Mum and I are both avid readers.  My Mum loves romantic novels set back a century or so but I prefer romantic novels and biographys set in the current time zone!  Each to their own.  I'm a tiny bit biased about the book Lost Heart Found because it is written by a close friend of mine and my name features in the acknowledgements (famous much lol) BUT hear me out.  This is an amazing memoir about a woman who at 27 years old, when all of her friends seemed to be settling down, convinced her husband to quit their jobs, pack their bags and travel the world for a year.  There's some real tear-jerking moments in this book and also lots of humour, but most of all this book sparked so much excitement and inspiration in me to get out and see the world.  If you or your Mum are a fan of travelling and/or memoirs this would be an awesome book to read.  It can be purchased here on Amazon.

Shannon's Kitchen - Healthy Food You'll Actually F**cking Eat!

This is THE funniest recipe book I have ever read in my life but be warned as I'm sure you can tell by the title, there's a language warning! The ratings system in this book is gold, basically each recipe tells you how many f**ks you'll need to give to make the recipe 1, 2 or 3 followed by how tasty the meals are by a nipple erection rating system.  Honestly you need to read it to believe it haha.  DO NOT buy this for your Mum or your Grandma unless they are known for their potty mouth haha.  I bought this for myself and I love love love it.  Link to buy book here.

I love giving gifts and I always try to find something unique and specific for the person I'm buying for, I'd rather not give a gift at all than turn up with a generic body lotion and body wash gift pack that will just end up hidden away in a cupboard to be forgotten about. So these are my unique gift ideas to help you show some appreciation to your Mum this year.  Let me know if you found this helpful or if you've already got something prepared for your Mum I'd love to know what it is.  Chat to me in the comments below or over on Instagram!
